Absolute Magnitude
- The absolute magnitude (brightness) an object would have at a standard distance - how bright would it looks at a strandard distance.
- The farther away it is less bright it looks and the closer it is the brighter it is.
Apparent Magnitude
- Is the power (luminosity) received by an observer on earth.
Luminosity
- The intrinsic brightness of an object.
- Brightness of an object as you see it.
